Calling all writers and artists! Workshop for you! Join our workshop to work on your ink; get feedback from other writers & artists!
Please note that you must be a writer or artist to participate since the point of this group is to give feedback to one another.
If you have a piece to submit, please e-mail your piece to email@example.com as soon as you register or bring your work by the Youth Services desk ASAP. Note that only the 1st 10 pieces we receive will be workshopped at the next workshop; all others will be saved for the following workshop.
Submission guidelines are as follows...
1.) Total submissions should be no more than 15 pages. You may submit 1 writing piece up to 15 pages. You may submit up to 15 pages of art pieces, but TOTAL submissions must not exceed 15 pages.
2.) Please come to the workshop prepared with your piece(s) for the next workshop OR submit them by the end of the day of the workshop.
3.) Save your files with your name on them. Also include your name, title of work, and page numbers as a header/footer on your work.
4.) It's a good idea to send your files as a Read-Only file if you can!
5.) You MUST write at least a paragraph of commentary for each of your fellow writers and artists. If you do not, you will not receive the other writers and artists' commentary on your work.
6.) You must sign up online if you plan on coming to the next workshop. You will have to do this each workshop. If we do not get five people signed up, then we will have to cancel the workshop. DO NOT SIGN UP UNLESS YOU ARE CERTAIN YOU WILL BE THERE. IF YOU HAVEN'T SIGNED UP, YOU MAY NOT SUBMIT A PIECE TO BE WORKSHOPPED.
7.) You may not submit a piece if you are not going to be at the workshop.
Also, a reminder that you all need to respect the writers' and the critics' feelings. R-e-s-p-e-c-t, please.
If you are unable to come to the workshop, please let us know ASAP so that we may let other people come.
Non-Frankfort Public Library District cardholders will be put on a waiting list. If the workshop is not full, you can come!
